Hello to all my friends, family, and anyone else that reads
these emails! It's been quite a week of change out here in Gyomun Ward, since
transfer calls arrived this Saturday!
My beloved companion, Elder Moore, will be transferring to
Seoul (Hwayeong, to be exact- 화영), and both of the elders in my apartment
are going to the same house in Dongdaemun (동대문)! Taking their places will be my new
companion, Elder Eager, and Elder Johnson and his new Trainee! I won't be the
newest missionary here!
In other news this week, we've had a lot of potential investigators and people we've met on the street, but none have really followed through. It's sad, but we've been working hard and trying to make things work for us.
Not a lot else to report this week. We've been working a lot with the ward, and trying to help them come closer to Christ, so we've found some success in that.
So with that I'll end off with a scripture... Isaiah 58: 13-14;
13 ¶If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing
thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the
Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding
thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 Then shalt thou
delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places
of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the
mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
I know that if we follow this scripture and call the Sabbath a delight, and turn away from our own ways thereon, we will be able to do more in 6 days than we could normally do on 7.
Hope you all are doing well out there! Work hard!
~Elder Skinner
